Full Job Description

  • To build community connections to support the development of the Be.You(th) programme

  • To work with communities and youth groups to co-produce the Be.You(th) programme

  • Delivery of the Be.You(th) programme across Gloucestershire

  • To work collaboratively within Gloucestershire team to support delivery of the Weight Management Contracts

  • To work collaboratively with other internal and external services

  • To support the Contract Manager with contract data and reporting

  • To support Triage across programmes

  • To build a space within the local community where children and young people can go and feel supported on their journey to becoming a healthier version of themselves., Will form part of the Gloucestershire team, working together to deliver weight management services to CYP and their families.

  • Will work closely with other Youth Coordinators across the company as well as the product development team during development.


  • External

  • Will work closely with community organisations, partners and teenagers to develop a new Be.You(th) programme for delivery in Gloucestershire, providing feedback to partners and community organisations on the development of the programme.

  • Will likely work with Gloucestershire County Council Commissioning team.

    A relevant qualification in youth/community/ wellbeing/ health/ education/social care/ counselling

    Experience

    Essential

  • Experience of working with children and young people

  • Lived experience of working with young people (aged 12-17)

  • Experience of working on events involving young people


  • Desirable

  • Experience of designing and delivering engaging sessions for young people

  • Experience of working in a health, education or social care environment or good understanding of supporting others to maintain a healthy lifestyle

  • A personable, non-judgemental and sensitive approach to communicating with the public

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability and confidence to establish positive relationships with young people and motivate them to participate in activities and projects

  • Excellent data processing and data management system skills

  • Excellent organizational skills to manage and prioritise workload, anticipate needs and work on own initiative and as part of a high functioning team

  • Able to carry out your roles and responsibilities whilst holding a complex caseload

  • Fluent and clear in English speaking

  • Confident, self-motivated, passionate, flexible, adaptable and creative

  • Attention to detail

  • Able to respond positively to new situations

  • Methodical with the ability to understand and meet targets and deadlines, able to learn and assimilate new information

  • Ability to reflect and appraise own performance and that of others

  • The role will be working with communities to co-produce community-based support with teenagers so they can benefit from our weight management and behaviour change programmes, whilst embedding practice within communities. The post-holder will lead, innovate and implement changes to support participants and ensure they experience a quality service, with their individual needs met.
