Full Job Description

We are seeking a multi-faceted Web Developer to assist the CTO with website development, maintenance and the day-to-day operation of the enterprise's various websites. This role involves supporting the design & development of high-quality websites and applications. Ideal candidates should have a solid foundation in web development and an eye for web-design. This is a hybrid role with 3 days in the office mandatory and the option to work from home for the rest of the week.,

  • Assist in the development and maintenance of client and internal websites.

  • Collaborate with the CTO, and marketing team on various projects, including website design, coding, testing, and deployment.

  • Write clean, scalable, and efficient code under the guidance of management.

  • Help troubleshoot and debug applications.

  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of web development trends and technologies.

  • Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas for improving team efficiency and output.

  • Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs and optimise applications for maximum speed and scalability.

    At least 1 year web development experience.

  • Basic knowledge of server-side CSS pre-processing platforms, such as LESS and SASS.

  • Basic knowledge of Wordpress CMS (Elementor or similar).

  • Basic understanding of client-side scripting and JavaScript frameworks, including jQuery.

  • Understanding of image authoring tools, to be able to crop, resize, or perform small adjustments on an image. Familiarity with tools such as GIMP or Photoshop is a plus.

  • A good eye for design and experience with responsive and adaptive design.

  • Good problem-solving skills and ability to work in a team environment.


  • Bonus Skills:
  • Experience with version control tools such as Git.

  • Basic understanding of SEO principles and ensuring that applications will adhere to them.

  • Familiarity with server-side languages such as Python, Ruby, Java, PHP, and .Net.

  • Understanding of database systems such as SQL and NoSQL.

  • Knowledge of best practices in web security.

  • Familiarity with JavaScript and JavaScript frameworks such as AngularJS, React, or Vue.js.
