Full Job Description

Co-produce and co deliver training for WRC students, agreed staff groups and internally to the organisation. Manages standard processes for reviewing the effectiveness of practice development initiatives, working closely with external partners, the wider training team and WRC Leads. Co-produce, co-develop and implement e-learning/virtual learning and blended learning initiatives to offer alternative methods of learning for the WRC students and the wider workforce working closely with WRC Operations Manager. Identify, deliver and monitor training required for specific groups through liaison with WRC team. The role will have a specific focus on both mental health, physical and learning disability needs within the WRC. Co-produce and co-deliver specific training packages of a range of mental health conditions to meet the needs of WRC students with mental health, physical health and/or learning disability conditions including (this is not an exclusive list): Management of long-term conditions
and maintaining good physical health. Gender identity. Relational security. Dementia care. Equality, diversity and Inclusion. Sensory awareness. EUPD Psychosis Bipolar OCD Range of mental health conditions Develop and oversee assurance mechanisms for training and development to ensure that any training delivered is useful and of a high standard by conducting evaluation of all training activities and adapting programmes as necessary in response to feedback. Contribute to service improvement by interpreting operational training requirements and delivering appropriate training packages in a variety of innovative formats, including in response to new business and tendering activity. Develop and maintain relationships with local colleges, universities, health and social care providers. Provide bespoke support to WRC staff in developmental roles or as part of performance management to develop skills and confidence in the delivery and facilitation of training where required. Engage in teaching
and assessment of clinical competences within the workplace setting, as required. Work alongside WRC staff to supervise new learning, improve confidence and monitor competence as required. Be responsible for the co-delivery of development programmes that co-ordinate learning for new and emergent roles where clinical skills development is a key aspect of the embedding of such roles into practice, working closely with workforce and development and the relevant professional leads. Ensure that clinical training is delivered in line with the latest evidence-based practice, ensuring that the role is embedded in research in defined clinical areas in order to ensure that teaching is of the highest calibre using evidence-based practice. Undertake audit of WRC offer and educational materials with WRC leads and developing courses to support improvement where deficits are noted. Take a lead on the practical embedding of national best practice research findings in professional practice (such
as NICE guidance, resus council guidance etc). Support the development and delivery of the WRC courses, Trainer Development Pathway Programme and Lived Experience Workforce pathway. Deliver mandatory training as required when additional resource is required. Develop opportunities to attract income generation from other health and social care organisations when in the interest of the WRC, Trust and wider system. Develop, sustain and maintain specific training programmes in specialist areas. Utilise skills and knowledge to offer debriefing and coaching to WRC staff following adverse incidents and events; utilising themes from these engagements to develop service improvements or educational programmes. Working with WRC team to provide support for new starters. Prepare reports for the review and validation of within WRC and wider within the Trust if required.
