Full Job Description

We are a community-focused organisation dedicated to promoting mental health and wellbeing within the North Mid Hampshire Area. We provide support, guidance, and resources to individuals and communities facing mental health challenges.

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Wellbeing and Mental Health Support Worker for 22.5 hours per week, to provide tailored support to members of the Ukrainian community in the North Mid Hampshire Area. The successful candidate will have proven ability to work independently and play a crucial role in delivering culturally sensitive mental health services to individuals who may face unique challenges due to language barriers, cultural differences or traumas.

You will need to be fluent in both Ukrainian and English, a valid driving licence and access to a vehicle, with previous experience of working in a mental health or wellbeing support role, to be successful in this role. As well as delivering one-on-one support to individuals, you will be facilitating group sessions covering topics such as stress management, coping skills and sleep hygiene. Knowledge of mental health services, social support networks, and community resources, with the ability to advocate for individuals and facilitate access to appropriate support services is desirable.

With your excellent communication skills, you will have genuine empathy for those experiencing mental health challenges and be able to build rapport and trust.

    Working pattern: Must work a Thursday morning to attend a weekly networking meeting but remaining hours can be flexible and discussed at interview.
