Full Job Description

We're looking for a Warehouse Assistant for our stores and warehouse - someone who wants to join a small, friendly team based on the Pear Tree Industrial Estate in Upper Langford, BS40 5DJ. The post is full time (Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm). The successful candidate will support and liaise with our existing staff working in torque converter remanufacture and parts sales. Here's a list of what you would be doing in this role:

· Booking-in stock and updating the stock control system

· Preparing goods for dispatch and arranging deliveries

· Kit building and organising stock

· Van trips to customers' and suppliers' premises

· Assisting with parts sales phone calls and supporting the parts sales team

· Maintaining a clean, safe working environment

· Other general stores and general duties

We're looking for someone who has a genuine interest in and some experience of hands-on work in a small warehouse environment. Full on the job training will also be provided. As a small company we encourage staff to have skills in more than one area, so if you do have previous experience of answering phones, customer service or workshop work as well as warehouse work, and would be happy to carry on using these skills when needed, please mention it on your application.

For the past 49 years JP (Automatic Transmissions) Ltd has specialised in the supply of automatic transmission parts and the reconditioning and servicing of automatic transmissions. We are a family run and operated company, and have always been based in and around the south of England and South Wales. We are specialists in this field, serving a wide range of customers from the industrial, commercial and passenger vehicle sectors. Our parts are supplied throughout the UK and overseas on a daily basis, and we hold over 100,000 items in stock at any one time. We supply in-house remanufactured torque converters, a wide range of automatic transmission parts, oils and lubricants.

We place great emphasis upon our service being second to none and offering a positive welcoming working environment. The 10 of us who work here are employed in four main areas: the torque converter workshop, the warehouse and packaging area, the parts sales office, and the account and admin offices.
