Full Job Description

They are passionate about crafting delightful user experiences across their multiple brands and platforms. This is a key role that sits between both their creative and development teams, playing an instrumental part in ensuring that their website delivers across the user experience and user interface design.

You will be working closely with the Lead Developer to Improve the UI/UX of their current websites and applications as well as working with their creative team to ensure that the visual elements of their digital outputs are strong, consistent and market leading.

Role responsibilities:

  • Bring the visions of various departments to life through captivating and user-friendly designs

  • Develop and maintain design systems, style guides, and patterns to ensure consistency

  • Engage stakeholders through engaging storyboards and wireframes

  • Create prototypes and micro-animations to elevate user experiences

  • Collaborate closely with stakeholders and team members to deliver projects on schedule

  • Identify and address UX challenges with innovative solutions

  • Work hand-in-hand with developers to seamlessly implement designs

    You have a minimum of 2 years' experience in UI/UX design for digital products/services

  • You have an impressive portfolio showcasing your work on web and mobile platforms, showing both UX process and UI design

  • You are proactive, enjoy communicating with people, self-motivated and solutions-focussed. You are adaptable in your approach, can engage with senior stakeholders across the business and engage and enthuse them with your ideas for what could be possible for their E-Commerce brand, being open to feedback

  • Proficiency in design tools like Sketch, Figma, and Adobe XD and a basic knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, or JavaScript would be a bonus, but not a necessity

  • You have a genuine passion for design and a desire to innovate within the eCommerce landscape, looking at new technologies and suggesting improvements

    This E-Commerce retailer is leading the way in its field; they are ethical in their approach to the products they create and sell and are known as a great company to work for and this is evident by them being owned by their employees and thereby giving some amazing benefits. They are looking for a UX/UI Designer to join their team based in Redditch, Worcestershire. You will play an instrumental part in improving and developing their current website and app and play a key part in projects across the business. They run a flexible, hybrid working model where a lot of your time can be home-based unless needed for key projects or meetings in the office, but you will need a car to get to their office as it is a difficult commute via public transport. Salary is around £35k, but is flexible for the right candidate and experience level., Having recently celebrated its 20th anniversary, this company is doing really well and expanding its digital and creative offerings within the business. They source their products, ethically working with the supplier and manufacturers, ensuring that the artisans and communities they source from are highlighted in the products they sell, knowing where each piece comes from. They sell these products both online and on their own TV channel. They have two businesses, although one is their flagship, and they have their own production and TV studio in the heart of their head office that has a real buzz about it. They are employee-owned giving each employee real involvement with the business and reaping the rewards of their efforts.
