Full Job Description

The Team Leader role involves day to day support, with duties such as:

  • Motivating staff to encourage and support residents.

  • Ensure all individuals are safe and secure within the environment and ensuring that all safeguarding policies and procedures are always

  • followed.
  • Undertake supervision and observational practices with our team of Care Workers as directed.

  • Maintain accurate records and document any concerns.


  • Due to the needs of the individuals we support in this service the post holder for this role is required to be female

    A background of working with older people is desired, but not necessary as full training and support from senior staff and management is provided. More important are;

  • Motivation and passion to work with and enable people to live as

  • independently as possible.
  • A strong initiative and ability to work alone as well as being a great team player.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Leadership and motivational skills.

  • QCF level 3 in care.

    What is the role?

    This service is the home of 42 residents with individual personalities and different support needs including some with dementia.

    As an Extra Care service, the individuals we support here are 55+and live in their own self-contained flat.
