Full Job Description

As the Integration Engineer you will be part of the Sea-Kit Blue Robotics Operations team. You will be responsible for configuring, installing, survey/ICT equipment into new build uncrewed surface vessels (USV). You will support the initial commissioning and operation of the newly installed equipment through delivery to the end user.

The integration Engineer will be reporting directly to the commissioning supervisor, and you will be working with the operations & projects teams to support the planning, onsite integration and testing of survey/ICT equipment but also you will liaise with the wider group colleagues globally. You will work closely with the likes of Project Managers, Engineers, and regional service lines to understand project requirements and product delivery expectations.

SEA-KIT's head office and manufacturing yard is based in Tollesbury, Essex. The role may involve some travel within the UK and potentially to international locations.

Responsibilities

  • Works with the build project delivery team to understand the build schedule and key dates relating to equipment integration.

  • Liaise closely with the commissioning supervisor to plan the integration of survey /ICT equipment and outline acceptance criteria and testing deliverables.

  • Pre-configure the survey /ICT equipment ensuring correct hardware/software is available and the network requirement are known.

  • Integrate the survey ICT equipment & sensors into the vessel as per pre-defined schematic/design & Schedule.

  • Verify the equipment integration by completing a testing program and report on documented results.

  • Provide onsite support during product commissioning assisting with the testing and operation of the survey / ICT equipment.

  • Assist with configuring / operating survey / ICT equipment during product factory acceptance testing / site integration testing.

  • Providing technical support to commissioning teams and end users.

  • Feedback opportunities for improvement relating to survey / ICT equipment type / configuration.

  • Adhere to all Sea-Kit QHSSE Management systems, policies and standards.

  • Focus on delivery of quality deliverables in line with the Sea-Kit quality management system.

  • Involvement in risk assessment for integration and commissioning operations.

  • Responsibility to promote a positive QHSSE culture and actively participate in HSSE programs, audits and review ensuring HSSE Policies and rules are adhered too.

  • Strive for continuous improvements in QHSSEE and delivery of quality solutions.

  • Integration execution plan

  • Execution of the survey / ICT equipment integration with maintenance of a realistic project schedule.

  • Integration report including testing outcomes & lessons learned

  • Review and update survey / ICT commissioning criteria.

  • Signed off survey / ICT related commissioning activities whilst maintaining a realistic project schedule.

  • Provide technical support to the commissioning team and end users.

    You hold a bachelor's degree and relevant industry experience; you have between 3-8 years' work experience.


  • You have a right to work in the UK and a full UK driving license.

    A solid knowledge of ICT programs is essential. With excellent verbal and written communication skills.

    You can be flexible with working hours and weekend work. As well as willing to travel to other locations when requested.

    You reside within a reasonable commuting distance of Tollesbury or are willing to relocate.
