Full Job Description

You may not have heard of Stage One, but we can guarantee you will have seen our work. From the set of the TV show The Voice, to the Mercury Music Prize stage and even the 2012 Olympic Cauldron we produce work that is seen all over the world.

We are a creative construction and manufacturing company and are responsible for delivering some of the most iconic projects in recent times. We are a multi-disciplined manufacturing facility spread over 12,000Sqm of estate with four manufacturing and storage facilities, engineering, fabrication, woodwork, finishing and a specialist manufacturing facility.

The Spray Painter will support the Paint department in delivering primer and direct to steel paint finishes on required projects. As we encounter such a broad range of projects, we need to be able to satisfy the equally broad range of variables regarding paint application, curing and durability of finish.

Key Responsibilities

  • Applying primer coats using spray guns and rub down surfaces between coats.

  • Mixing paints using a schemed database system.

  • Preparing materials including filling & sanding and preparing surfaces using metal, wood or plastic part to sand or ground surface.

  • Applying base coats and lacquer finishes.

  • Working in a spray booth to ensure paint is confined to the specific areas.

  • Using internal ERP system for signing off stages in production.

  • Clearly communicate all relevant information including job progress and any problems and/or issues.

  • Inspecting products for flaws, bubbles and/or imperfections and correcting imperfections.

  • Ensure that production items and tasks are completed in accordance with the QMS.
