Full Job Description

We are seeking a talented Solutions Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing technical solutions and support to our clients.

Key Activities:

  • Support our Sales process by providing solution definition, specification and validation. You will be working closely with our Sales, Procurement and Technical teams and activities may include calls or visits to customers, suppliers, vendors or third-party agents.

  • Assist in the research and development of new technologies, products, solutions and approaches, under direction/guidance of our Chief Technology Officer.

  • Support ad-hoc activities, such as short-term Consulting engagements, Proof of Concept exercises, DR Planning, Audits etc. Again, this may involve collaboration with different areas of our business.


  • Responsibilities:

    - Communicate with clients to understand their technical requirements and provide suitable solutions
    - Utilize Office, Azure, and Excel to develop and implement effective technical solutions
    - Demonstrate exceptional organizational skills in managing multiple projects simultaneously
    - Provide excellent customer service by addressing client inquiries and issues promptly
    - Showcase strong time management skills to meet project deadlines
    - Familiarity with AWS to offer comprehensive technical solutions
    - Present technical solutions effectively to clients

    You will have and be required to maintain a "Subject Matter Expert" level of technical proficiency in three or more of the following areas:
  • Cyber Security

    Previous experience in a Solutions Engineer or similar role is preferred, with experience with Microsoft 365, MS Azure, Watchguard, Mimecast, Datto/Kaseya & CIS Controls (or other recognised Cyber Frameworks)

  • - Proficiency in English, both written and verbal with the ability to communicate in-person and remotely and translate geek speak to plain English (and back again)
    - Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
    - Excellent customer service skills to ensure client satisfaction
    - Time management abilities to meet project timelines

    You will:
  • Not just be a techie; you will need to understand how a business works and how to determine what challenges/fears/pain points our customers are experiencing.


  • Bring a security first approach to all engagements.


  • Be able to prioritise your workload and meet associated deadlines, working under pressure across multiple projects/activities.


  • Work with a standardised approach but know when its necessary to think outside the box


  • Be open to new ideas and approaches.


  • Be prepared to travel, either alone or as part of a group and as required.


  • Be able to work effectively alone and as part of a larger project team.


  • Have ideally worked in an MSP business previously and dealt with SMB/SME customers.


  • Maintain an MSP focus during R&D activities.
