Solutions Architect

We are looking for an enthusiastic individual with a passion for technology to join our Waterstons Technology Solutions team and work with an expanding team of Architects and Engineers.

As a growing team, you will work across the technology spectrum, this may include aspects of more traditional technology, working with clients across various sectors, large and small. This role is hands-on, and you will frequently be delivering projects (this is not just a role where you design something and then pass over to engineers to implement).

Day to day responsibilities

• Understanding client's requirements, and architecting Solutions


• Technical designs and proposal writing


• Taking the lead on large projects and supporting work carried out by other team members


• Broad technical knowledge, with a deep knowledge in one or more areas


• Attend client facing meetings / pre-sales with clients.


• Supporting the operations of client environments


• Contributing to the development of our offering by exploring and developing new technologies
  
  3 years experience in a Microsoft technology project driven environment


• A broad range of experience in Microsoft and/or other technologies.


• Consulting/MSP Background


• Active certifications that support experience


A successful candidate should have deep knowledge in one or more of the following areas:

• Infrastructure (e.g Servers, Storage, VMware, Backup, DR, Veeam, Windows)


• Modern Workplace (e.g O365/M365, Intune, Autopilot, SCCM, Entra AD/identity)


• Security (e.g Email filtering, web filtering, MFA, AV, ATA/ATP)


• Cloud (Azure)


• Connectivity (e.g. Cisco, Meraki, Fortinet, IPv4/IPv6, DNS, DHCP, IP addressing, VLAN, BGP, VRF, ACL)


• Unified Comms (e.g. Teams voice, SIP routing/SBC skills)


Nice to have

• Experience in line management


• Experience in acquisitions or divestments, i.e. taking the architect/lead role in an acquisition or divestment for a client.
