This role would suit an ECT, a teacher with SEN experience or a mainstream teacher looking to make a change.,
- Be highly professional in their conduct and accountable for the overall effectiveness of the class they lead

- Be proactive in creating and following rich and varied curriculum plans and delivering the highest quality education to our pupils with an Educational Health Care Plan. Creating a safe, stimulating and supportive learning environment
- Be able to use assessment data to put into place a range of intervention strategies to ensure that all pupils make good progress and achieve high standards
- Have knowledge and understanding of behaviour management skills and strategies, both theoretical and practical, required by staff to manage challenging behaviour effectively
- Be a contributor to the school's multi-disciplinary team approach and be able to develop good working relationships with young people, their families, staff and a range of other professionals
- Have up to date understanding of the professional duties of a teacher working with children with SEND, and be able to put this into practice
- Supervise and work effectively with support staff, assigned to pupils within your class. Be able to interact with people in a variety of ways
- Be passionate, organised, hardworking, and have good interpersonal skills and communicate clearly
- Be practical, creative, enthusiastic and energetic
- Use ICT effectively.
Rosehill School is a maintained special school for 120 pupils aged 4-19, on the autism spectrum, which is set in a residential area on the outskirts of Nottingham City Centre. The very large majority of pupils attending the school have a diverse range of associated communication, interaction, social, imagination, sensory and learning differences. Many of our pupils have spent time in mainstream settings but move to Rosehill for a more specialised environment and curriculum.
The school serves a diverse community, drawing children and young people from a wide range of socio-economic and multicultural backgrounds. The school has an Early Year's provision and a Sixth Form. Rosehill School is part of the Nottingham Schools Trust.
Salary Range: M1 - M6, with SEN1 Allowance
Contract: Temporary (1 year)
Start Date: 29th August 2024, or sooner following completion of all safer recruitment/pre-employment checks
Hours: Full time (Part time considered)
