Full Job Description
- Sample reception-receiving deliveries and unpacking samples, shipping of parcels/post. Liaising with couriers.
- Logging samples into LIMS (lab software) and storage.
- Other duties as agreed, depending on experience (lab based or administrative).
- Assisting the Sample Administrator in maintaining an efficient workflow through the laboratory.
- Supporting sample preparation- mixing and blending samples. Preparing food & drink samples for chemistry testing.
Are you a recent A Level leaver, looking to gain work experience in a science environment?, Experience of physical task- experience in hospitality, retail etc. - Can do attitude.
- Computer literate.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Practically minded and able to work in a team.
- Good organisational skills in managing own workload.
- Ability to adapt and change between different tasks/activities as time permits.
Additional information:
Must be able to get to our rural location each day- drive or lifts as no public transport.
