Full Job Description

The successful, candidate will be responsible for managing the quality and reliability of our parts and products through the development and implementation of quality control processes and systems. You will work directly with the senior management team as well as departmental managers to raise quality standards and improve the production process. This a fantastic opportunity for the right candidate.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

· Audit and monitor production to ensure customer specifications and industry standards are met.

· Monitor and test product quality across sites to ensure compliance with agreed standards.

· Conduct thorough inspections throughout the entire production cycle to identify any malfunctions and implement solutions to improve performance.

· Undertake inspections, implementing quality control measures and identifying areas for improvement.

· Create a robust system for checking 'Goods In' and train on-site teams in the process.

· Assist with any customer complaints to ensure customer expectations are exceeded.

· Link all documentation with our existing ISO9001 processes.

· Produce a regular Quality Management Report outlining any identified issues and solutions.

· Provide support to staff on quality control processes, procedures and tools.

· Ensure processes are adhered to so all machinery and tooling is fit for purpose.

· Strong background in a quality engineering/management role.

· Strong knowledge of quality management principles.

· Experience of PSW/PPAP processes.

· Excellent knowledge of analytical and problem-solving techniques and tools - (FMEA / 8D models)

· Ability to strive for continuous improvement (experience of Kaizen philosophy or similar).

· Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

· Good communication skills both internally and with customers/suppliers.

· Ideally, previous 'hands-on' experience in manufacturing with experience of 5S methodology.

· Ability to liaise with management team to identify and arrange specific manufacturing project training.,

  • Quality assurance: 1 year (preferred)

    Salary: Up to £45,000 depending upon skills and experience.
