Full Job Description

We're looking to hire an Install Coordinator to join our experienced team based in Kendal. The purpose of your role is to support fir and security installation projects, work with surveyors to ensure the kit and consumables are booked and ordered and organise the engineering team to support projects at the relevant phases. You will join a highly motivated team and be part of a growth business working with colleagues who care about our customers.

What you will be doing

  • Ensure all project administration in support of the agreed TOP has been completed by the surveyor and is evident in the project pack.


  • Ensure all Project administration, in support of relevant checklists is stored securely in either or both hard or soft copy in support of NSI and BAFE requirements, and all documentation can be accessed with ease for audit purposes.


  • Ensure all allocated Installation engineers have full sight of any specific site documentations such as RAMS, Method Statements, site drawings, project plans and equipment lists.


  • Ensure jobs are correctly dispatched to relevant installation engineers.


  • Oversee the project plan from inception to completion for all Fire and Security works. Ensure the surveyor and installation supervisor/installation engineers are aware of all confirmed dates and project developments or any project deviations.


  • Liaise with customers to advise of project alterations or adjustments obtaining any technical information prior to calls to ensure all customer expectations are managed.


  • Schedule and coordinate your installation team working with any preapproved subcontractors. Work closely with your surveyors including installation supervisor/engineers.


  • Work on the project schedule software to ensure the relevant installation engineers are allocated to the correct projects, with relevant job numbers. Communicate clearly on any systems and in person if required in relation to the booking of any engineer resources from the team.


  • Create weekly and monthly reports for the Installation supervisor demonstrating project performance against plan


  • Liaise daily where required with your surveyor and project installation team to ensure planning sheets provide an accurate and constant picture of all WIP that you're responsible for overseeing.


  • Liaise with stores to purchase and organise materials and equipment required for the installations. Update and manage systems to ensure project orders for equipment and consumables are placed with stores in a timely manner to allow for just in time delivery to the branch/dep or customer site(s). Communicate effectively with the surveyor and installation team to confirm stock/consumables/equipment delivery dates and lead time to order.


  • Ensure any travel and / or accommodation for your engineering team is booked for the project requirements.

    GCSE or equivalent (required), Project support: 2 years (required)
