The TNCC (Transmission National Control Centre) is truly on the front line of what we do. This is an exciting opportunity to become part of the team responsible for the real-time operation of the national electricity transmission network.

As a Product Engineer you'll be at the forefront of our TNCC, working with Control Room Engineers, Vendors, Product Managers, Digital partners and key stakeholders.

Acting as product owner, you'll take ownership of defined Control Room IT products and telephony and support systems, ensuring they are reliable, cost effective and fit for purpose throughout their operational life cycle. You'll develop KPI's that monitor reliability & efficiency to identify problem areas and, working alongside the control room and our digital partners, you'll develop and drive innovative solutions which enable us to meet our objectives.

You'll facilitate and coordinate control room project deliverables into real time environments, ensuring minimal disruption to end users and associated processes. You'll also manage Vendor support contracts ensuring cost effective delivery and performance.

In addition, you'll provide support for various Control Room facilities.

This role is based out of our offices in Warwick for 3 days per week and can be combined with hybrid working from home.

We're looking for a product/system support owner with experience in IT related products, ideally in a control room environment.

With experience in project management and the ability to define proof of concept/ investment processes, you'll be able to provide technical assistance and drive delivery.

You'll have experience in utilising analytics tools/ methods (e.g. PowerBI), as well as experience in vendor support contract management, coupled with the ability to resolve complex technical problems and communicate effectively.

Knowledge and understanding of the National Grid Electricity Transmission System and its operation would be advantageous. Ideally, you'll have experience in Control Room SCADA, IT Products, Control Telephony & Voice recording Systems, Visual Display and videowall facilities, agile and SAFE methodologies. You'll also be educated to HNC/D level in an engineering related subject or STEM degree or have equivalent experience.

A competitive salary between £49,300- £62,000 - dependent on capability
