In this position, you'll be at the helm of JLRs' Systems Engineering Operations for the electrical platforms, playing a critical role in engineering transformation and ensuring alignment with strategic objectives. This leadership position necessitates a blend of strategic vision and hands-on delivery of complex engineering solutions, making it an ideal opportunity for specialist looking to make a signifcant impact in a dynamic and forward-thinking environment.

This role demands not only deep expertise in Systems Engineering tools, methods, and processes but also the flexibility to challenge existing models and instigate change throughout the organisation.

Key accountabilities & responsibilities

A Principal Product Owner will get great opportunities to lead the Systems Engineering Operations squad at JLR. You'll play a pivotal role in leading this transformation, overseeing the implementation and governance of the Model-Based Systems Engineering Delivery Framework and integrating Product Lifecycle Management into the System Engineering process.

Further duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Provide product leadership and direction for the Systems Engineering Delivery Operations.

  • Utilize data analytics skills to report on System Engineering Delivery Risks to programme teams and stakeholders at all levels.

  • Lead the engineering transformation on the integration of the PLM into the System Engineering processes, including PLM features like Configuration Management, Change Management, Version Management, and Variant Management.

    Degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.

  • Practical experience in change transformation, operations, and systems governance.

  • Expertise in Application Lifecycle Management systems.

  • Proficient in data analytics to report on system engineering delivery risks.

  • Knowledge of relevant systems standards (ISO15288, ISO12207, ISO29119, ISO26262, ISO21434).
