Full Job Description

Working in partnership with our client, the PR Account Executive will support the PR directors with the delivery of client briefs, based at our Bournemouth office. Working in a small PR team within a wider marketing and advertising agency, you will have the opportunity to develop excellent account management and writing skills, gain experience of the full job role, see how campaigns are delivered across all marcomms disciplines, and have the opportunity to shine. This is a fantastic opportunity to develop your own potential and gain valuable experience within a dynamic, fast-paced advertising agency., The Account Executive will report directly to the PR Director / Senior Account Director and will primarily work with the PR team and social media teams, and where relevant with the production department, finance team, creative team and studio team on all matters relating to client deliverables.,

  • Researching key topics and some writing of press releases.

  • Supporting the end-to-end account management activities and developing confident account management skills: e.g. attending client meetings, drafting meeting minutes and updating the WIP (Work in Progress reports) to creating media lists, issuing press releases and building relationships with key journalists, taking them through the approval processes and end of month reporting on successes using industry metrics.

  • Taking ownership of key tasks and management of deadlines without supervision

  • Proof check work thoroughly before it leaves the agency, with the aid of the PR team where appropriate.

  • Working with the social media team to ensure client campaigns and themes are aligned.

  • Working with the account management team responsible for delivering creative campaigns to align PR messaging and ideas.

  • To follow process and keep relevant processes up to date, WIPs, deadlines and delivery.

  • Understand and utilise the agency processes where relevant to progress additional PR activities requiring creative input such as video and design

  • Monitoring industry news and key events to ensure timely press response from clients where relevant.

  • Supporting the team's creation of award entries - research, interviewing third parties and documenting activity.

  • Work alongside other agencies including media buying, video creation, social and PR where relevant.
