Full Job Description

Based in the Faculty of Population Health Sciences, the Institute of Cardiovascular Science (ICS) brings together basic and clinical scientists from UCL and expert clinicians from UCL partner hospitals to provide: · Innovative research for the prevention and treatment of diseases of the heart and circulation · World-class teaching and training in the cardiovascular sciences · Forward-thinking policy development for effective cardiovascular disease management ICS aims to stimulate interdisciplinary working across the School of Life and Medical Sciences (SLMS) its research is broad, spanning discovery-based laboratory science, clinical translation and experimental medicine, as well as healthcare evaluation, implementation and policy. Much of the work is interdisciplinary, integrating with eg UCL Engineering, Nanotechnology, Chemistry, Behavioural Science, and the UCL Genetics Institute. ICS scientists work towards the development of new diagnostics and imaging modalities, new therapeutics
and other interventions, and the development of best practice and policy for the overall management of cardiovascular diseases. Further information about the UCL Institute of Cardiovascular Science can be found on our website http://www.ucl.ac.uk/ics

The post-holder will be educated to A-Level standard or equivalent and have experience of working in a busy office environment preferably in a Higher Education/academic establishment at a senior level including PA experience The post-holder must be able to work collaboratively as part of a team and have excellent organisational skills and be able work both collaboratively as part of a team, and independently with minimal supervision.

This part-time (0.5 FTE) post is available immediately in the UCL Institute of Cardiovascular Science (ICS). The UCL Institute of Cardiovascular Science is a world-class centre of excellence focussed on developing novel preventative and therapeutic strategies in cardiovascular medicine. The institute brings together basic and clinical scientists from UCL and expert clinicians from UCL partner hospitals.
