Job Purpose and Impact

Location: The role is based at York BioTech Campus (YO41 1LZ )

We've been reliably selecting, modifying and reacting various nature-based chemistries to create specific, innovative solutions for our industrial customers. We draw on the whole Cargill portfolio of products and services to create solutions to help our customers increase performance, and lower costs - all in a responsible, sustainable manner .

We are looking to appoint an Office Manager who will provide a proactive and varied Administrative service to our office based teams and support for our Senior Leadership team at the York Biotech Campus site, partner with our internal and external contacts and act as a culture champion to create and maintain and inclusive working environment.

The role is a Monday-Friday full time permanent position. 3/4 days per week in the office with some flexibility/ hybrid working supported.

Key Accountabilities

  • Serve as the central point of contact for the gathering and processing of information and formatting of information to enable ease of use by department members in making business decisions

  • Work with managers and leaders to assist with the process of submitting, processing and validating purchase orders

  • Perform customer experience related tasks to ensure a positive experience for Cargill's VIP customers when visiting site

  • Perform general administrative support including meeting scheduling, facilitation and logistics, expense management and general routine items

  • Act as a 'culture champion' to make the office and inclusive and welcoming environment

  • Other duties as assigned


  • Qualifications

    Minimum Qualifications
  • Secondary education qualification or demonstrated work experience within an administration environment in place of secondary education

  • Ability to use Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook - SAP experience is preferred

  • Be punctual, adaptable and show ownership of tasks that are assigned

  • Proactivity to drive own workload and identify new tasks

  • To be a team player, and help colleagues get through busy workloads
