Full Job Description

This role is responsible for the creation, updating and delivery of training solutions for technical training in our business. The Training Specialist will own the delivery, and the creation where needed, of regulatory training, quality training and any other training required to upskill our teams., The Manufacturing Training Specialist is a critical link in the process of enabling the competence of our Production Teams. They will work closely with our Quality and Operations Departments and other Training Team colleagues to ensure that all courses are delivered when required and meet all the regulatory requirements.

The successful candidate will be a strong communicator, with proven IT skills. They must be a self-starter, who can identify and solve problems. The ability to see through the detail and identify the key points is a must for this role. This is a role with a technical scope, training Operations employees on regulatory topics such as Human Factors, Quality Systems, Manuals / Procedures / Documentation and Air Legislation.

Training development is also a key part of the role, where the Training Specialist will analyse training needs and feedback provided to create or update training packages. They will integrate any relevant regulatory requirements and understand the needs of their learners, creating exciting and comprehensive training packages.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Design, update and deliver training solutions to employees

  • Assist with the scheduling of training courses to assure currency of authorisations

  • Maintain company training records and documentation

  • Analyse training feedback and engage with lean activities to drive improvements in training

  • Assist with internal / external audits that concern training

  • Work with all stakeholders to develop and deliver the business training strategy

    Previous training experience in a manufacturing environment, is desirable, preferably aerospace.

  • Considerable knowledge of Human Factors training delivery.

  • Experience, or training, in Lean / Continuous Improvement methodology is also desirable.

  • Suitable 'Train The Trainer' qualification, or teaching qualification.

  • A strong knowledge of the Part 145 regulatory system is essential.
