Full Job Description
- Our apprenticeship offers you the chance to achieve a degree in Engineering Manufacturing Management.
- We will ensure that you get the full picture of the business, from core manufacturing, to project and business management.
- Once you have completed your first year in our Academy, you will complete monthly rotations in each area of the business then move into your first permanent role.
- Our Engineering Apprenticeship is accredited by The Institution of Mechanical Engineers IMechE, Manufacturing Engineer (degree) Apprenticeship standard Level 6, which typically includes a HNC or Foundation Degree https://www.instituteforapprenticeships.org/apprenticeship-standards/manufacturing-engineer-degree-v1-1
- Functional Skills in English and Maths up to Level 2 as required
- Your first year at Superior will be spent full time in our training Academy with our dedicated training manager to support you.
- One day a week will be spent at Bournemouth and Poole College, to ensure you get a full understanding of an engineering business, from the ground upwards.
- Delivery method of training to be confirmed, but will include the following topics;
- training
- qualifications, like an NVQ in a relevant field
- industry or sector experience
+ Full Health and Safety training
+ CNC machining
+ Mechanical Inspection
+ Finishing skills
+ Analytical Methods for Manufacturing
+ Manufacturing Processes
+ Business and Project Management
+ Leadership and development
+ Chemistry, Continued support upon successful completion of each apprenticeship standard to then go on to study HNC- Foundation Degree - Degree (For example: Bachelors in Engineering) - Master's Degree (all funded by Superior)., interpersonal skills, A solid level of maths, Accountability, communication skills, enthusiastic, hard working, Integrity, GCSE or equivalent 5 GCSEs including English, Maths and Science (Grade 5 or above) Essential
NVQ or SVQ Level 2 or equivalent Engineering, Science or Maths (Grade Pass or above) Essential
