Laboratory Co-Ordinator

We are looking for a experienced Laboratory Co-Ordinator to join a Global Client relocating to Newport.

To co-ordinate production within the Laboratory area to coincide with the weekly production plan, using best lab practice and continuous improvement techniques to ensure that company performance standards are achieved in areas of quality, cost and delivery.

Duties

• To work with and ensure effective communication with local site colleagues, particularly in relation to scheduling and quality.


• An understanding of laboratory techniques and equipment.


• Manufacture a variety of Pheromone lures.


• Prepare dosing solutions and pheromone blends as required for lure production, working from works orders issued by the scheduling manager.


• Liaise with the quality analyst to ensure quality standards are maintained on all lures and pheromones.


• Liaise with stores personnel and analytical chemist to ensure laboratory products are correctly identified and sampled prior to release into production.


• Liaise with Production Manager/Team Leader to ensure products are available for incorporation into kits.


• Issue 'Recommendation for Use' sheets and labels as required.


• Maintain Health and Safety standards.


• Maintain quality systems and records to company standard.


• Run production equipment when required.

• Good standard of Education.


• Good standard of written English & Math's


• Good communication skill & attitude.


• Understand & use of measuring equipment - ruler, scales etc.


• PC literate


• Science (Chemistry)


• Excel knowledge


• Previous laboratory experience.
