IT Lead Software Engineer

We are pleased to share an opportunity to join Flagship Group's I.T. Team, as an IT Lead Software Engineer. The role is a permanent post, working 37 hours per week: Monday to Friday.

The successful candidate can be based in any flagship office, whichever is closest to their home address. We have offices in the following locations: Norwich, Melton / Woodbridge, East Dereham & Bury St. Edmunds. The successful candidate would be expected to work from the Norwich office 1-2 times a week. The role comes with Agile Working.

In this job role as an IT Lead Software Engineer, you will work as part of the software engineering team at Flagship, playing a pivotal role in providing expert technical leadership and guidance to your teams. You'll ensure we adopt the best software engineering practices, adhere to high coding standards and use effective engineering processes (including automation and CI/CD) in a truly agile environment. Using your excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, you'll collaborate across all areas of Flagship Group to deliver value to our customers and ultimately to our tenants through the provision of excellent software solutions. Using your extensive management experience, you foster a culture of respect and collaboration within your team and outside, encouraging healthy debate and owning your decisions. Providing mentoring and individual developmental roadmaps to support career progression and personal development.

Working with the scrum team, you'll contribute to delivering innovative technical solutions while continuously innovating new and existing products. Your practical agile experience, adaptability and embracing of new technology ensures that Flagship adopts the best modern technical solutions that are maintainable, performant, highly secure, of a high-quality standard and delivered in line with customer expectations.

Applications are welcomed for the role of IT Lead Software Engineer from those with significant experience in Software engineering in a Microsoft .Net cloud environment and time spent in a technology leadership and management role. You must have an expert understanding of the scrum framework, having led many scrum teams.

You'll have extensive skills and experience in C#.NET/ASP.Net. Entity Framework, modern web development, JSON, AJAX, Azure, Angular /React/Blazor, MVC/Razor, Microservice architecture design.

You'll be educated to degree (or relevant equivalent) standard in Computer Science or a related field.
