Full Job Description

Based at: Ewood Park stadium, Blackburn, Lancashire, BB2 4JF. Flexibility regarding location is required.

Reports to: I.T. Manager

Responsible for: N/A

Hours of work: 35 hours per week which includes study time at college, plus any additional hours necessary for the performance of duties. This will include occasional evening and weekend match day work in accordance with the department's match day rota., Job purpose: To provide first line support to the business over the phone or in person or via remote software. To also be responsible for building PC's and laptops and to assist the fellow department members in their roles when required., To be committed to ensuring the safeguarding and welfare of all stakeholders, promoting their well-being whilst maintaining professional boundaries;
To provide first line technical support to all departments within the organisation;
To be the first point of contact for support calls to the IT helpdesk;
To log all support calls on the fault logging system;
To manage the inventory system and ensure the program is kept up to date;
To setup/configure I.T equipment;
To provide technical support to the company's mobile telephones;
To provide match day technical support as per the I.T department rota (optional);
To provide match day on call assistance as required (optional);
To ensure all relevant equipment/systems are functioning prior to home matches;
To liaise with outside suppliers / support contactors as required; and
To manage stock levels and keep a record of equipment with stock checks.

PC building & the parts of a PC
Operating system installation
Apple IOS on Mac's
Mobile Phone OS - Apple & Android
Windows server 2016
Active Directory & Group Policy
Printer fault fixing
Windows 10 & 11
Office 2016 & 365
Networking basics
Remote access software

Qualifications Required:

Five GCSE's at grade A

  • -C / 9-4 or equivalent; and

  • Undertaking an apprenticeship in a computer-related course.
