Full Job Description

As the Housing Compliance Manager, you will support the Central Housing Support Team to achieve its ambitious plans for Emerging Futures supported housing provision across Birmingham.

You will be responsible for driving the Health and Safety agenda across the portfolio, ensuring fully compliant, safe, and quality housing through regular audits, and delivering training to colleagues around housing management processes and competencies.

The post holder will take a hands-on role across Birmingham, supporting the service to deliver housing compliance and effective housing management ensuring all EF properties are safe for our service users and compliant with all legislative, policy and local requirements., We would be grateful if you could complete the Equal Opportunities Form attached along with your Application Form to help monitor the effectiveness of our recruitment practices and assess the success of different advertising methods in attracting applications.

  • You will have some experience working in a housing or compliance role. We will provide you with the support, knowledge and training you need to work within a supported housing environment.

  • You are energetic, reliable, and committed to improving the standards of our housing portfolio across Birmingham.

  • You'll have excellent planning and organising skills and will excel in taking independent initiative.

  • Above all, you will be enthusiastic and have a genuine desire to provide safe, high-quality housing for vulnerable adults., If successful in securing an interview we will need to ask you about any unspent convictions as part of our duty of care. A criminal conviction will not necessarily prevent you from being offered a role; the decision will depend on the type of offence and its relevance to the role. All of our roles require a criminal record check.

Emerging Futures (EF) works across the country to support people affected by homelessness, addiction, and mental health challenges. Our greatest resource is our people, so we also offer generous annual leave, pension, employee assistance programme and other benefits.

  • We currently deliver housing solutions across eight counties and are looking to expand our housing team as our portfolio reaches over 450 units.
