Full Job Description

We are looking for a new Receptionist to join our Lincolnshire sites. This will be 40 hours over 7 days per
week including weekends on a rota basis. The role can be considered on a job share basis in 8 hour day allocations.
Our Receptionists are usually the first person our patients will see when they visit a clinic so a
friendly, approachable and welcoming personality is a must!

The Receptionist will welcome all patients and check them in for their clinic or theatre visits. You will
be working on the patient record system alongside other systems so should be comfortable using a
variety of technology solutions.

You'll also undertake a variety of administrative duties such as booking patients into their
appointments, making and answering phone calls, sending and replying to emails, managing the post

and sending letters and dealing with enquiries. As such you'll require a high attention to detail and
excellent accuracy levels. Our clinics are busy so we're looking for someone who loves working in a
fast-paced environment where every day is different.

The thought of eye surgery can be a daunting prospect for patients to deal with, so our team
members need to be empathetic and able to put patients at ease.

What skills and experience do I need?

advantageous:

  • Experience of working under own initiative

  • Previous experience in a customer or patient facing role

  • Experience in a busy administrative role

  • A competent user of all Office 365 programmes

  • Tech savvy and comfortable working on new systems e.g. patient record systems

  • A good phone manner
