Full Job Description

This is a varied and interactive role where you will work with the Health, Safety & Resilience team and operational teams across the division to ensure compliance with all health and safety related topics. You will therefore have the opportunity to work with a diverse range of people across the business and our services. You will receive all the support you need, as well as the guidance to deliver great standards of work.

Ideally we are looking for individuals with knowledge and experience in a care/ healthcare/ trades based environment, as well as a background in health and safety compliance or advisory roles. We want individuals to join us who have excellent teamwork skills and a proactive "can-do" attitude. Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential, along with the ability to manage time efficiently, prioritise tasks, and meet deadlines. You should be capable of working under pressure and using own initiative. Flexibility and reliability are also key traits. Knowledge of legislative changes related to health and safety compliance, familiarity with Health & Safety Legislation and RIDDOR, understanding of COSHH, and a sound knowledge of infection control and HACCP systems are important. Education-wise, holding a NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent.

  • The salary is £38,515 for a 37 hour full time, permanent position.

  • Working days are predominately Monday to Friday days, we have a blended and flexible approach to the work we deliver. Modern vibrant work spaces and with agile working you can maximise your work-life balance. The role will include working work closely and engaging with various areas of our business and you will need to be present on site. Admin can include working from home or local offices

  • Base location will either be Newport or Swansea, dependant on where you live.

  • 26 days holiday entitlement plus Bank holidays , rising to 30 days with length of service

  • It is essential for the successful candidate to have a full drivers licence and access to a car
