Full Job Description

As a Graduate you will work collaboratively with your team to create cutting edge software for our platforms and be involved in the entire lifecycle of a product, from concept, design and development through to delivery and maintenance in service.

You will be expected to work closely with engineers from multiple adjacent skillsets engineering, manufacturing and/or business systems.,

  • Make a real contribution to addressing the engineering issues on a programme and to encompass requirements capture/evaluation, systems and software design, software implementation, software unit and integration testing, qualification and certification as well as defect investigation and resolution.

    Excellent verbal and written communication skills will be required as you will be working as part of a large complex team, delivering software solutions for highly complex and software platforms.

  • Articulate a strong understanding of multiple software development lifecycles and several of the toolsets used in each phase of the lifecycle., As a minimum requirement you'll need to have obtained, or be predicted to obtain, a 2.2 in your Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science / Computer Engineering / Software Engineering / Software Development or a related subject., As a minimum requirement you'll need to have obtained, or be predicted to obtain, a 2.2 in your Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Software Development or a related subject.

    BAE Systems do offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements, however it is expected on our Graduate Programme you will be required to attend your site 3-4 days per week. Please note, this may be subject to change in line with the needs of the business. The hybrid working arrangements including which days you are required to work on site/remotely will be outlined by your line manager.
