If so, Games Workshop has an exciting opportunity for you to join our renowned design team as a Matched Play Games Designer for Warhammer Age of Sigmar. As a Matched Play Games Designer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the
competitive landscape of Warhammer Age of Sigmar. You will collaborate with a talented team of designers to create, refine, and balance rules for Matched Play, ensuring that the game remains engaging, strategic, and enjoyable for players around the world.

You will be responsible for developing and refining rules and mechanics for the matched play format, ensuring a balanced and competitive experience. We'll look to you to conduct extensive playtesting, analyse rules changes, and gather feedback from the competitive player community. You'll need to stay informed about the current metagame and competitive trends, and engage with the Age of Sigmar player community by attending tournaments and events.

Collaborating with other designers, you'll help create new matched play battlepacks and other rules publications that challenge and inspire players. This will require working closely with other departments, to ensure rules integration and consistency across all aspects of the game.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills will help you identify game balance issues and propose effective solutions. Excellent communication and collaboration abilities are crucial, as you'll work closely with a diverse team of designers and interact with players from various backgrounds. Adaptability to a fast-paced, dynamic environment and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously are key. Finally, your creative mindset and desire to push the boundaries of Matched Play gaming through innovative design choices will set you apart.
