Full Job Description

As the Finance Analyst for Legal & Insurance, you will act as a key interface between the Commercial Accounting team and its internal and external customers. You will be responsible for the reconciliation of the insurance balance sheet accounts, dealing with payments and recoveries associated to customer personal injury and sickness claims for the Tour Operator and Marella Cruises. You will work closely with the Legal team in order to check the integrity of the data on an ongoing basis and resolve any discrepancies between Finance and Legal systems. You will own the full finance reconciliation across both entities, ensuring all controls are met and evidenced.
ABOUT THE JOB

  • Manage the reconciliation process between Riskonnect, SAP & HDI and preparing monthly balance sheet reconciliations and taking appropriate actions to clear balances

  • Strong analytical skills to report and analyse recovery costs, checking the integrity of the data in all systems

  • Work closely with the Legal teams to understand high value cases and highlight any risks or opportunities

  • Become the expert in the E2E process and manage your stakeholders - Legal, HDI & Key solicitors

  • You will be responsible for month end close activities and take ownership of the integrity of your financial ledgers

  • Responsible for audit deliverables relating to Legal & Insurance

    Part Qualified Accountant

  • A good level of accounting knowledge - exceptional numeracy and data analysis skills

  • Evidence of continuous/process improvement in previous roles

  • Pro-active and enjoy problem-solving, working in an agile way and making well-informed decisions within tight deadlines

  • Strong analytical skills to report and analyse recovery costs, used to dealing with large amounts of data
