Full Job Description

We have an opportunity for an Enforcement Officer to join our CIT SSL team, based in Banbury. As a member of the Income Services Team your work involves managing all the income and debt recovery functions for Sanctuary Supported Living Nationally.

The role of Enforcement Officer will include:

  • Managing your own caseload for SSL patches nationwide, from start of tenancy to end of tenancy, debt negotiation and meeting KPI targets

  • Working in partnership with SSL Local Teams to get the right outcome from start of the tenancy and through out

  • Liaising with local agencies such as Housing Benefit Departments, and DWP to make sure customers are claiming the correct benefit entitlement

  • Liaising with Support agencies to provide the correct support for tenants to sustain their tenancies

  • Assisting with general and complex queries regarding rent accounts, service charges or legal cases

  • Making outbound contact to customers through a variety of effective communication methods

  • Managing inbound SSL calls

  • Managing the CIT SSL mailbox

  • Attending court cases virtually (as/when required)

  • Producing statements, processing refunds, setting up payment arrangements and Direct Debits

  • Preparation of legal documentation including notices, court application and warrant request

    Sanctuary Housing Services Limited is a subsidiary of Sanctuary Housing Association, an exempt charity.

  • Experience of working as an Income Officer or within a contact center environment, or similar

  • Experience of debt negotiation and knowledge of the welfare system

  • Working knowledge of debt recovery, housing management and related issues

  • Recent experience of identifying problems and resolving these effectively

  • Ability to work on own initiative as well as part of a team

  • Proven experience of using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook) or similar

  • Proven experience of knowledge of SAP

  • Experience of dealing with Income Legal matters, Notices and court application
