Deputy Technical Manager

Blackwood Miners' Institute are seeking a Deputy Technical Manager. The post holder will support the Technical Manager in ensuring the Theatre and Arts Service provides the highest level of technical services for a wide range of performances and events, including providing technical support to hirers of the theatre, support for incoming professional shows and production companies using Blackwood Miners' Institute and other venues (indoors and outdoors) both locally and nationally through our touring work. You will also deputise for the Technical Manager when needed.

A relevant Level 6 (Degree) qualification on the Credit and Qualifications for Wales. For example Degree in Technical Theatre.
City and Guilds 2365 (Level 3 Diploma in Electrical Installations) or the ability to achieve this qualification within a timescale to be agreed with the line manager on appointment.
Experience of theatre lighting, sound, stage management, and operating full sound systems within a live environment.
Good knowledge of operational aspects of theatrical theatre staging, lighting, sound, digital and AV equipment., Disability Confident
