The Central Sterilising Supply Department (CSSD) has the latest technology to significantly reducing manual handling. Large assembly and storage areas provide an optimum working environment, where instruments are processed to the highest standard for each procedure.

The Instrument Technicians work across a 24 / 7 rotating roster in the Central Sterile Supply Department (CSSD), which is reprocessing reusable medical devices for procedures in the theatres., Using / monitoring of Steam and Sterrad sterilizers

Processing Endoscopy equipment

Loans processing equipment from an external vendor

Cleaning, setting up, and wrapping instrument trays

Using an electronic tracking system

Carry out all testing for equipment

Surgical set ups & transfer of sterile items to appropriate departments

Along with recent proven experience as an Instrument Technician (12 months post certificate) and a commitment to providing a high level of service, you will have the following :

MUST have Certificate III in Health Sterilising Practice for Technicians or equivalent

Demonstrated knowledge of sterilization standards.

High level of customer service skills.

Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently as required.

Effective communication, interpersonal and time management skills.

Demonstrated knowledge of OH&S in the workplace.
