Full Job Description

For this 12-14 month maternity cover contract you will play a lead role in the design and execution of all our brand and marketing creative. You will help develop concepts for marketing campaigns and design improvements to our showrooms "look and feel" that aim to take our brand to the next level. And you will translate these ideas into beautiful creative that is engaging, on-brand and…fun!,

  • Responsible for art direction, graphic design and customer experiential design. Seeing all projects through from concept, design, production, completion and delivery.

  • Develop a close working relationship with the Creative Director on conceptualising / visualizing ideas when designing for retail experiences (our Shacks) and campaigns.

  • Have a high level of taste when it comes to image and visual culture.

  • Work closely with the creative team on all creative projects. Be the design lead for more complex creative briefs, covering print and liaising with digital channels when there is crossover.

  • Oversee the full creative design process for these briefs - from concept and design through to artworking and launch, calling on the team for support as and when required.

  • Mentor, manage, direct and motivate your designers and artworkers to deliver exceptional creative design for their respective briefs.

  • Work collaboratively with all stakeholders to keep all projects on track and ensure all creative projects are delivered as per the brief.

  • Be a brand and visual gatekeeper, ensuring only exceptional design that is tasteful, effective and on-brand is presented for review and sign off.

  • Present design work at various stages to stakeholders for review and final approval.

  • Constantly ask "Wouldn't it be cool if…?" as we look for new ways to shift the dial on our brand and creative execution.

  • Interface with printers and various internal and external suppliers. Attend or delegate press passes and participate in photo shoots as needed.

  • Be a brand ambassador championing a culture of creativity across the business.

    An A-star senior creative designer with a graphic design qualification to degree level and a proven track record of delivering outstanding creative work across traditional analogue marketing channels.

  • A mastery of Adobe Creative Suite especially Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator.

  • Extensive experience in 360 degree brand project management with a top-notch understanding of the principles of brilliant design and the ability to craft campaigns that really connect with people.

  • Experience in branding, typography and print, working within an in-house creative team and with sound knowledge of the print process and setting up design for print.

  • Knowledge of preparing for a photo shoot - pre and post production.

  • A lateral thinker who can come up with an original perspective.

  • A relentless curiosity to solve complex problems.

  • Self-critical and confident enough to try out new ideas and cast most of them aside in order to find a gem.

  • Excellent communication skills and an ability to connect with and influence people across all areas of the business.

  • Adept at working under pressure in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment (we know, every job ad says that!).

  • A real stickler for detail, understanding that the sum of every detail makes a huge difference.
