Community Vaccinator Physiotherapist, Term Time or Part-time, Banbury

We are looking for a Community Vaccinator (Physiotherapists) preferably with some immunisation experience to help deliver the School Aged Immunisation Programme in Primary, Secondary and Independent Schools as well as other community venues.
The ability to be flexible to meet the needs of the Service is essential, as is a willingness to explore alternative methods of immunisation delivery to reduce health inequalities in hard-to-reach groups.
The role offers a flexible working pattern, to meet service need, which will include weekend and evening working on occasion. Although you will work from your base you may be required to attend other areas of the county, if required, either to vaccinate in schools/community venues or attend promotional events to increase immunisation uptake.

+ Please describe any experience you may have of working with children and young people.

+ Please describe any immunisation experience you may have or any other relevant experience in administering IM/SC/ID or nasal medication.
+ All new starters have a 6 month probationary period. This, together with the induction process, aims to create a positive supportive working environment allowing new employees to learn key elements of their role over a reasonable timescale
+ Candidates not currently employed by the Trust who attend an interview for non-qualified Band 1-5 posts are required to undertake numeracy and literacy assessments.

+ Employees are expected to undertake mandatory and statutory training related to their role.

Are you a registered Physiotherapist looking for a new challenge? Do you enjoy working in a busy and varied environment? Would you like to develop your knowledge and experience of immunisations?, You will be well organised, a strong communicator with good IT skills. Previous experience of working in schools or other environments with children and young people is advantageous but not essential. This is a fast moving and very busy role so the ability to work well under pressure and to be a key team player is a must. We are looking for adaptable, flexible people with excellent skills who will enjoy working in a challenging and busy environment.
To ensure that vaccination sessions commence on time you may need to start at 07.30 on prearranged days and also be able to work evenings and weekends. The ability to be flexible with ones working pattern is therefore essential.
Applicants must have a full valid driving license and have access to a vehicle for work. Adjustments can be considered in line with the Equality Act 2010 where required.
