Full Job Description

We are recruiting a Committee Services Officer at Caerphilly County Borough Council., Caerphilly County Borough Council have an opportunity for a Committee Services Officer. This unique and interesting role will see the successful applicant providing professional, administrative support for the planning, organisation, and minuting of Council meetings. These meetings can be held at Ty Penallta, Ystrad Mynach, remotely online or occasionally at other sites across the Borough.

The key responsibility of the role is to ensure that the Council observes its statutory obligations for the publication of reports and agendas for Council meetings and accurately records discussions and decisions. In addition, the post holder will provide a range of support services for Elected Members, Corporate Directors, Head of Service and other partnership organisations.

The successful candidate will be a reliable, enthusiastic and a professional administrator with a willingness to travel in the Borough. A flexible approach to work is also a must as you will be required to attend meetings that may fall out of core office hours.

For the role, we ask that you have:

Relevant Level 3 qualification on the Credit and Qualifications Framework for Wales.
An understanding of the role of Elected Members.
Ability to attend meetings across the county borough as well as further afield.
