Carpenter / General Builder / self employed

The ideal candidate would be someone who has worked on a construction site, has a carpentry based background and has the ability to work on all aspects of a building project from the ground up.They will have excellent first and second fix carpentry skills and have pride in the work they produce, attention to detail is critical. We are looking fro someone who is happy to provide support to the other members of the team, someone who would like to be part of a growing business and has a can do attitude. The company works mainly in the domestic construction sector, with some planned maintenance carried out at various schools and colleges in Cardiff. We are looking for someone who is reliable, punctual customer focused and trustworthy. This is a hands on position.,

• Understanding customer requirements


• Responding to change orders


• Managing or working with subcontractors


• Ensuring compliance with Health & Safety guidelines and procedures


• Working knowledge of materials used in carpentry


• Working knowledge of relevant tools & equipment


• Ensuring all accidents, incidents, near misses and non-conformances are fully reported


• Ensuring compliance with building codes and regulations
  
  Experience in a similar role is required, a full driving license is essential. Use of own vehicle also required. CSCS or similar preferable, First Aid, any other site related certificates would be favourable.
