Full Job Description

We are pleased to be advertising the opportunity to join our established and respected clinical pharmacy team as a bank clinical pharmacist within our mental health and learning disability services. The trust also provides community health services on some sites.

Our pharmacists are valued members of the inpatient multidisciplinary teams and the service is currently in a process of developing a strategy to expand our clinical services and deliver a high quality medicines optimisation and management service across all trust services.

The Trust has pharmacy teams based in Barnsley, Calderdale, Dewsbury, Halifax Huddersfield and Wakefield., Our clinical pharmacists provide medicines optimisation services to our inpatient wards and community mental health teams, having direct patient contact where possible.

We provide medicines information and clinical review of more complex cases for clinical colleagues.

We have just completed EPMA roll out to all our mental health inpatient wards.

You would be supported and working within our specialist teams of pharmacists and pharmacy technicians.

Other work may include contributing to audit and assurance programmes, education and training of pharmacy colleagues and other professionals or supporting production of clinical guidance.

We are a specialist NHS Foundation Trust that provides community, mental health and learning disability services for the people of Barnsley, Calderdale, Kirklees and Wakefield. We also provide low and medium secure services and are the lead for the west Yorkshire secure provider collaborative.
