Account Manager

Role: Funding Information Services Account Manager (Secondment)., SLC have a fantastic opportunity for a Funding Information Services Account Manager to join our Partner Services team, to manage and partner with our further and higher education partners in the London and East Anglia regions.
Partner Services is the team that manages the link between SLC and our external stakeholders, partners and practitioners such as universities and colleges. They provide oversight, direction and guidance through face-to-face and digital interactions with targeted communications to a diverse audience that includes stakeholders, partners, practitioners and careers advisors. Key outputs for the department include:
+ Delivered Information & Guidance (I&G) activities to practitioners and partners;
+ Agree and implement actions by I&G practitioners and partners;
+ Trained and aware I&G practitioners and partners;
+ Insight and feedback to inform SLC enhancements.
You will deliver value by forming a direct, collaborative relationship with stakeholders, partners and practitioners. This will maximise efficiencies and address change, operational delivery, problem resolution and policy assessments ensuring that the execution of full end-to-end processes for applications, assessment and payment to students and learners is enabled by dependable, timely and accurate information from service partners.

+ Excellent planning and organisational skills;
+ Good understanding of Education (Higher and Further) and Student Finance sectors;
+ Excellent communication skills; confident and articulate presenter;
+ Self-motivated and able to work independently, as well as part of a team;
+ Experience at providing external-facing relationship management, and in managing business-to-business interactions;
+ Focus on continuous improvement and developing working practices, for self and others;
+ Flexibility on working hours and ability to travel extensively and regularly within UK, often overnight.

Pension: 28.97% - Alongside your salary of £36,053, Student Loans Company contributes £10,444 towards you being a member of the Civil Service Defined Benefit Pension scheme.
Location: Field Based – Candidates will be expected to travel to the London and East Anglia regions.
